VaquerX by Austin Alegria

Vaquerx, a celebration of the gay cowboy. Inspired by the stereotypes typically associated with this trope, Austin Alegria and Christopher Collins are putting together a fashion collection to premier downtown at legacy park. The runway imagines the wild west as a place where people can freely express their love and desires without fear of repercussion. Featuring performances from both San Antonio’s premier drag queen Kristi Waters and Queer Tejano artist Jose Villalobos, the visual experience will both challenge and embrace the masculine tendencies typically portrayed with the old Americana cattle wrangler. Proceeds from the ticket sales benefit the Pride Center.
